I show how to remove an old shower diverter valve and install a replacement. i also walk through applying ptfe tape to ensure more water tight seals to preve. First, turn off the water supply to the shower. next, remove the shower handle by unscrewing the screw holding it in place. then, use a pair of pliers to gently pull the diverter knob up and down to loosen it. if that doesn’t work, you may need to remove the diverter valve itself and clean it or replace it with a new one.
