How To Make Your Own Stickers By Hand At Tonya Moore Blog If you don’t have any sticker paper or adhesive contact paper, you can still make stickers using clear tape. here’s how: 1. start by printing out your design on regular paper. 2. place a piece of clear tape (packing tape or transparent tape works best) sticky side up on a clean, flat surface. 3. Cut the laminate sheet to measure 8.5 x 11. then, peel an edge of the laminate and line it up with the edge of your sticker paper. take an application tool or credit card and smooth the laminate down onto the vinyl while slowly pulling the backing off. 5. Using a penny, rub the tape on top of your design slowly, applying minimal pressure, so that the adhesive in the tape binds to the ink on the paper. run the paper side of your near sticker under warm water until you see the paper dissolving away. you should see that the ink stays because it’s bonded to the adhesive in your tape.
