Anders wasn’t imo being a gross sleazy slimeball in awakening because he is a gross sleazy slimeball, but because he’s trying to keep people off balance and unlikely to see him as a threat, because it’s something he’s had to do all his life. da2 sees him in a place where that’s less of a concern to him.
